The Canadian government has announced it will re-open the border to fully vaccinated U.S. citizens and Green Card holders on August 9, 2021, including non-essential travel. Non-essential travel includes tourism, visits to family cottages, and visits to family and friends. All travelers, regardless of citizenship, must have proof of a negative COVID test taken within 72 hours of arrival in Canada, as well as proof of vaccinations completed at least two weeks prior to entry. Proof of vaccination must be uploaded through the ArriveCan App prior to arrival. Click here for the government press release and more information.
