The government of Canada has announced that visitors from all countries may enter Canada beginning September 7, 2021. This applies to both essential travel and non-essential travel. Visitors must have received a complete series of vaccines at least two weeks before arrival in Canada. The vaccine must be one of the vaccines approved in Canada. Visitors must also have a negative COVID test result based on a sample taken within 72 hours of arrival in Canada in the case of land border arrivals, or 72 hours prior to the scheduled departure of the flight segment that will arrive in Canada. Travelers must upload their vaccination certificates in the ArriveCan application. No quarantine will be required. Randomly selected travelers will be required to complete a second COVID test on arrival in Canada.
